Scar Therapy
If you have ever had a scar you may have realised they all look different. Some are thick and raised and some are feint and flat. Scars can take up to 2 years to fully mature so this gives us a great window to help improve unwanted symptoms that often accompany scars.
This may be pulling sensation, pain, numbness or lack of mobility. These symptoms can often have a knock-on effect and cause issues elsewhere as well as affecting our wellbeing and how we feel about our body.
Having trained under HLP therapy, Hannah Polton (UK leading Scar expert) I have the skills, compassion and knowledge required to help you.
The most common scars I treat are C- Section scars but over the years I have seen a huge variety such as post hysterectomy, cording post masectomy and knee replacements.

Lymphatouch Pro
LymphaTouch Pro is a versatile and efficient medical device that elevates manual therapy to a new level. The patented technology of LymphaTouch combines negative pressure and mechanical high-frequency vibration, which activates the lymphatic circulation and soft tissues in the treated area. The device can be used for pain management, swelling management, soft tissue mobilisation and scar therapy.
I am very pleased to be able to offer this fabulous treatment, with this updated model it is more effective and the results speak for themselves.
Common Questions
-
What does the Lymphatouch treatment feel like? Patients often describe a gentle 'sucking in sensation' . Most of the time it is very well tolerated and most patients find it a relaxing experience.
-
How many sessions do I need? This can vary depending on if it's a scar we are treating or trying to improve post operative swelling. Sometimes a one off session is all you need but usually between 4-6 is where we find the better results. Please do get in touch if you have any further questions !
